Hey! My name is Alexandra, and I’m the blogger of the Master’s in Global Health at KI. I have a BSc in Nursing, and I’m from Athens, Greece, where I worked as a registered nurse for 3 years, and simultaneously I studied for my first master’s degree in pediatrics.
Since I always wanted to help people, I volunteered in many organizations in parallel with my studies, such as at the Doctors of the World’s Department in Athens. Throughout these experiences, I realized I wanted to work and do research in the global health field. So, I decided to pursue my second master's in global health and KI was my first choice because it’s a top university in the medical field. And, here I am, thrilled to be studying at KI and making the most out of this experience.
While at KI, I am looking forward to gaining as much knowledge as possible in terms of global health, being involved in activities and organizations in the field, and expanding my network. Also, I would love to make new friends and travel around Sweden.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, doing sports, spending time with my friends, and exploring new places. Fun fact about me is that I always relate my daily life to Disney movies. Among friends, you’ll often hear me saying “This reminds me of this Disney scene...”.
