Meet Tipsuda Tangsriwong recipient of the SI Pioneering Women in STEM scholarship.
What inspired you to study Health Informatics?

"Seeing infants arrive with late-stage conditions that could have been caught earlier pushed me to start building digital health tools. I applied to Karolinska Institutet to learn how to turn everyday clinical frustrations into practical digital solutions."
How do you hope to make a difference through your education?
"I want to bring smart, accessible technology back to regional hospitals in Thailand. My goal is to develop low-cost AI tools that can support frontline staff, help save lives and reduce the healthcare gap."
What has your experience taught you about healthcare innovation?
"Working in resource-limited hospitals taught me that the best medical innovations aren't always the most expensive ones – they are the ones that actually reach the people who need them most."
