Yeung chose the Master’s in Bioentrepreneurship at Karolinska Institutet (KI) as a natural continuation of his bachelor’s degree. Yeung also stresses that KI:s high rankings and its prestigious image were deciding factors for him to come here.
For Yeung, a priority for his time at KI is making the most out of his courses in the programme. He also believes it is important to socialize with students and researchers at the university from different departments and programmes. Especially, on the master’s level, where students can come from all walks of life and heading into different paths. Yeung considers it to be a very valuable experience as well as a networking opportunity for the future.
Before coming to KI, Yeung worked in a private equity firm focusing on the healthcare industry. He enjoyed it and hopes he can work in this industry after graduating from his masters. Before getting into the industry, he would like to build up his professional experience. Yeung believes a good way for him to absorb a vast amount of information would be to enter the consulting industry after graduation.
Outside of studying and working, all of Yeung’s time is dedicated to filmmaking. He enjoys the process of getting to know the production process and working with like-minded people towards a common art piece. This is why he will be vlogging for KI, so he can dedicate his time to making captivating videos to share with current and prospective students.
