My name is Umar, and I am a medical doctor from Nigeria studying the Master’s in Bioentrepreneurship. I’m the new blogger for this programme!

As a student back home, I had become aware of KI as the seat of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology, but never imagined that I would be studying on this beautiful campus one day.

The bioentrepreneurship programme is the primary reason I applied to KI. It is an exciting programme that trains future leaders for the global life sciences industry by combining scientific knowledge and business teachings.

I look forward to exploring Sweden and enjoying all its beauties. I also look forward to connecting with the amazing people at KI and maybe meet some Nobel laureates!

When I am not working, I like to curl up with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book in hand. I also love sports (watching, and not playing ha-ha) and I’m a huge fan of Manchester united, Lewis Hamilton and Rafael Nadal.

Fun fact – I can name the capital city of nearly all the countries on the planet. Feel free to put this to the test if you ever run into me.
