New program syllabus from 2026
Information due to the discontinuation of the program syllabus 4FF22 for the Master's Programme in Translational Physiology and Physiology
The final cohort of students under the 4FF22 programme syllabus will start in autumn 2025 and graduate in spring 2027. The Education Committee at KI decided on a new syllabus (4FF26) in May 2025 for the programme which will apply from autumn 2026.
Due to the new programme syllabus, the courses in the current syllabus (4FF22) will gradually be discontinued. The first-year courses will be offered for the last time in autumn 2025/spring 2026, and the second-year courses will be offered for the last time in autumn 2026/spring 2027. According to the transition regulations, five re-examination opportunities will be offered if needed during the year following the final course date for all courses, respectively. After that, no further examinations will be held within the framework of the 4FF22 syllabus.
For students starting the programme 4FF22 in autumn 2025
Students who begin the programme in 2025 but not complete a course on time will have the opportunity to complete their studies within one year after the discontinuation of each course. In the case of a study break and return to the programme, students may take equivalent courses within the new programme syllabus 4FF26, with the same learning outcomes. Grades will be reported under the corresponding course in the 4FF22 syllabus. Information about course discontinuation and the structure for re-examination opportunities will be provided during each course.
If you have not completed a course when it ends the following applies:
• The re-takes and deadline for registration will be posted after each course is finished.
• For written examinations five re-examinations will be offered during one year after each course if needed. You register for written examinations in Ladok.
• For mandatory activities and resource-intensive practical laboratories, two replacement sessions will be offered during one year after the course if needed. Mandatory components also include, for example, written assignments and oral presentations.
For students in semester 3-4 during the academic year 2025–2026
All courses in semesters 3 and 4 also run during the academic year 2026–2027, and after that, students will have an additional year to complete any remaining coursework.
