Access card/KI card for students

Please note that the access function of the card starts once your course starts.

KI cards for students have a "basic access" that applies to student areas/group rooms between 07 am to 10 pm. Other accesses are handled automatically depending on the course.

The students' KI card/access card is handled by the Professional Services/Facilities office/Security Unit. When activating your student account, you agree on the KI card agreement.

Routine in Solna 

Apply for your KI card at the self-service machine for photography at Berzelius väg 3 in the entrance floor (in to the left) and follow the instructions on the screen. The photo station is available weekdays at 07:30 am to 05:00 pm.

When your photo is stored, your KI card is available the same day at the reception in Aula Medica, at 08 am to 05 pm, and closed for lunch at 12:00-12:45 am. Aula Medica is on Nobel's väg 6. Please bring a valid ID when you pick up your card. 

You also need to know your KI-ID, which will be sent out to all students in early August. Example of KI-ID: evaolsh21 (Eva Olsson höst=autumn 2021)

NOTE! You can only pick up your KI card on the same Campus where the photo is taken.  

To avoid queuing - it is possible to pick up your KI card another day.

Routine in Flemingsberg 

Apply for your KI card at the self-service machine for photography at Alfred Nobel´s väg 10 at entrance floor.  Follow the instructions on the screen. The photo station is available Monday to Friday at 07:30 am to  05:15 pm.

When your photo is stored, your KI card is available the next day at the earliest at the card administration at Alfred Nobel's väg 10, floor 4, weekdays at 09-11 am and at 01 - 03 pm. 

Please bring a valid ID when you pick up your card. NOTE! You can only pick up your KI card on the same Campus where the photo is taken.

To avoid queuing - it is possible to pick up your KI card another day.

Change of PIN code

To change the PIN code on your KI card, a connection to KI's network (Eduroam) is required. Then log in to Kipas.ki.se with your KI ID and password. After logging in, there is an option to change the PIN code.

Lost KI card

In case of lost KI card, new photography is not needed, you turn to each campus card administration and get help to print a new one. Your photo is stored.

NOTE! More than 2 cards per semester will be charged with an administrative fee.
