Exchange programmes

Karolinska Institutet har avtal om studentutbyte med många partneruniversitet runt om i världen. Utbytet genomförs inom ramen för något av våra utbytesprogram.

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the European Commission's exchange program that gives you, as a KI student, the opportunity to study at a university in Europe with which your study program has an exchange agreement.

INK exchange

Exchanges which are not carried out within the Nordplus or Erasmus are called "INK exchanges" (short for International Committee exchanges). The INK programme gives students an opportunity to carry out exchange studies at partner universities outside Europe, but not funded by an exchange programme.

Nordplus

Nordplus Higher Education is a programme for exchange of teachers and students at universities, university colleges and other higher education institutions in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The programme builds on cooperation within networks, offering activities such as student and teacher exchanges and intensive programmes.

SEMP

SEMP is a scholarship programme for students going on exchange to Switzerland. Since Switzerland is not a programme country within Erasmus+, they instead provide scholarships from this programme to their incoming exchange students or trainees. Note that if you have study support via CSN, you cannot simultaneously receive a scholarship from SEMP.

If you have CSN you can still receive an Erasmus+ scholarship via KI, and the international student coordinator will provide you with the form needed to apply for the Erasmus+ scholarship.
