Study-life balance

In this course you will learn methods to reduce stress and find balance between your studies and other areas of life that are important for your well-being.

The course includes both theoretical and practical elements. You will get an introduction to the KI gym and physical training as well as an introduction to mindfulness. We will also support you in setting personalized goals approaching a balanced study-life. The course is held by Student Wellbeing Centre and Health Promotion at KI.  

Everyone is welcome to join! No previous experience is required. The course is open for 16 participants and will be held in English. Welcome! 

  

Meeting 1: presentation and introduction to the course. We will talk about the concept of study-life balance, and you will get to reflect upon your current life balance.  

Meeting 2: introduction to the KI campus-gym, physical activity and training. This meeting will partly be held in KI campus-gym Box.  

Meeting 3: introduction to mindfulness. Opportunity to set personalized goals to continue to work on.  

Meeting 4: follow-up after two weeks. We will follow up on your goals, talk about how to maintain change and how to handle obstacles that may arise.  

Meeting 5: Final follow-up two weeks after meeting 4. Group discussion on the process of behavior change. 

  

We will serve coffee/tea and sandwiches from 16.30. Please let us know in your registration if you have any allergies/dietary preferences. 

The group is led by: Felicia Dunér, lic. psychologist and Rasmus Nylander, lic. physiotherapist. 

Date: The meetings will be held on Mondays 6/3, 13/3, 20/3, 3/4 and 17/4. Meeting 1-3 will be between 17:00 – 19:00. Meeting 4 and 5 will be between 17:00 – 18:00.  

Location: Health promotion “Studio” in Solna, Berzelius väg 1, ground floor.
