I am very interested in translational neuroscience research. Therefore, I was looking to learn in a research-intensive environment where I could grow as a biomedical researcher. Karolinska Institutet (KI), a world-leading medical university where neuroscience labs are conducting fascinating studies, offered exactly that. So, here I am! And very happy with my decision!
First and foremost, I am looking forward to new things during my time here. New concepts, new friends, new research, and more. Plus, I am enthusiastic about exploring Stockholm and Sweden as I eat a lot of cinnamon buns.
In 10 years from now, I hope to be working in academia; leading research projects while mentoring the next generation of neuroscientists. I am very excited to see where in the world it will be!
When I have some free time, I like exploring new places in the city, catching up on tv shows, dancing, and spending time with family and friends (whether that’s in person or through videocalls because they are far away).
