How do I apply?

Start the on-line application below by selecting your home institution, preferred period of study and language of instruction. Then look through the entire form and read all the information carefully, especially under proposed study programme at Karolinska Institutet. Mandatory information is marked " * ". Have all the information ready when you start

Once you have started to enter the required information on-line, you cannot save it to continue at a later stage. This means that you must have all information ready by the time you wish to submit your application, which will take about 15 minutes to complete. As long as you are actively entering information, there is no time limit.

Remember to print the application and registration number. Please note that you must print your application before you submit it electronically. You submit the application by pressing the "Submit" button at the end of the form. Note that when this is done you cannot make any changes! You will immediately get a notification that your application has been registered along with a registration number unique to your application. Please make a note of this registration number as it is used to check the status of your application.

What do I do with my printed application? Once you have printed the application, sign it and also have it signed by the international coordinator or contact person at your home institution. Please send the application to the international coordinator digitally (via email) together with:

  • A verified transcript of credits and grades, i.e. list of courses passed at your home university
  • A verified copy of your passport, where your photo and details are visible. The copy MUST be certified by your home institution, i.e. signed and stamped by somebody who works there and can certify that it is a copy of your passport. A copy of an ID-card is not sufficient.
