Outcomes

After the course the student is supposed to be able to: - define a realistic research question - search for and analyse relevant literature - design a study for the research question with emphasis on inclusion criteria, investigative techniques and statistics - escribe and analyse ethical considerations - describe and evaluate the results in relation to the methods used and relevant literature - write a report with a logical structure using correct grammar and spelling - present the work orally

Content

The project work can be done individually or in groups of 2 or 3 students. The students are to decide if they want to work individually or in a group. The student(s) must chose their own topic which shall be related to optometry.

Teaching methods

Working individually or in group with support of a supervisor.

Examination

Examination is based on the written report and oral presentation, and is graded according to the scale Passed (G) or Failed (U). Grades will also be given in accordance with the grading system of the home university.

Evaluation of the course will be made according to the guideline of the Board of Higher Education.
