Specific entry requirements

A Bachelor's degree or a professional degree equivalent to a Swedish Bachelor's degree of at least 180 credits in biomedicine, cellular and molecular biology, pharmaceutics, medicine, nutrition, or the equivalent. Proficiency in English equivalent to English B/English 6.

Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  • plan, carryout and document a research project within given time frames and with given resources.
  • apply appropriate methods to answer a given scientific research question
  • search, read, review, compile and critically interpret relevant scientific literature in relation to the project.
  • analyze and interpret obtained data and critically discuss the results
  • formulate new scientific research questions that have come up in connection with conducting the project.
  • present their work orally and in writing
  • carry out a project work in a correct manner regarding research ethics

Content

The course consists of an individual work focusing on research training and literature studies. An individual study plan is written by by the supervisor and the student together prior to the course, taking into account the length of the course.
