Outcomes

The overall aim of the course is to enable the participants to work as ergonomists in occupational health services in an analytic, reflective and scientific way. Specific aims After the course the participants should be able to 1. review scientific literature and relate to legislations within the ergonomic field. 2. reflect over hypotheses and theories on risk factors for work related musculoskeletal disorders. 3. put in contrast and apply different methods for measuring physical load in various work environments. 4. reflect over hypotheses and theories for different injury mechanisms and diagnoses associated with work related musculoskeletal disorders. 5. analyse facilitating and hindering factors in vocational rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders. 6. practically perform ergonomic analyses in various work environments, explain associations between factors in the work environment and musculoskeletal disorders, and suggest appropriate ergonomic interventions.
