The overview knowledge is important in order to get an overall perspective of the courses of the semester the Structure, function and dysfunction of the human body 1-3,

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
* describe, at a general level, the structure and function of:

- the circulation and respiratory organs
- the nervous system and the endocrine system
- the urogenital organs and the digestive organs

* use the anatomical terminology to describe the relative position and movement of different parts of the body

Content

Teaching methods

The teaching is given as overview lectures and group assignments in which the student should, by means of literature and medical models, together with other group members learn to search knowledge and answer questions within the various anatomical organ systems.

Examination

A written examination completes the course.

All group assignments are compulsory. In case of absence, an agreement concerning compensation is made between the student and the responsible teacher .

Students who have not passed the regular examination are entitled to participate in five more examinations. If the student is not approved after four examinations, he/she is recommended to retake the course at the next regular course date and may, after that, participate in two more examinations. If the student has failed six examinations/tests, no additional examination or new admission in the course is given. The number of times that the student has participated in one and the same examination is regarded as an examination session. Submission of a blank examination is regarded as an examination. An examination for which the student registered but not participated in, will not be regarded as an examination.
