Objectives
The aim of the course is that the student on a laboratory should obtain occasion to test/apply theoretical and practical knowledge by in laboratory environment study and use methods that occur on a laboratory. The aim of the course is also to contribute to the development of an occupational identity, a reflective professional practice and an understanding of the occupation
Knowledge and understanding The student should be able to:
- show knowledge about relevant methods in the area and about relevant ordinances
- acquire knowledge via different sources, evaluate this critically and use existing knowledge to describe new relations in a professional context
Skills and ability The student should be able to:
- show ability to collect, process and interpret analysis critically- and research results, attention and deal with deviations and also oral and written reporting and discuss the results with concerned parties and in accordance with relevant ordinances document these
- show ability to teamwork and cooperation with other professional groups
- show ability to critically review assess and use relevant information and to discuss new facts, phenomena and issues with different groups and thereby contribute to development of the profession and the activities
- show ability to identify his need of additional knowledge and that continuous develop his skills
- show ability to independently identify formulate and solve problems and to implement assignments within given time frames
- handle technology to collect data and document these data systematic in a professional context
- analyse and process collected data a professional context
Assessment ability and attitudes The student should be able to:
- show ability to within the main field of study for the education make assessments considering relevant scientific, social and ethical aspects
- demonstrate an understanding of the own profession's role and importance for health care
- show ability to identify his the need of further knowledge and that continuous develop his skills
