Specific entry requirements

Passed results of at least 55 higher education credits from The Opometry programme's semester 1 and 2 and at least 45 higher education credits from semester 3 and 4.

Objectives

After the course, the student should be able to: - make economic calculations related to optometric business activities. - show knowledge of laws and rules that regulate the commercial part of optometric business.

Content

The course is given as a distance education via the platform PingPong. The students work with exercises and laboratory sessions and written assignments at distance. The Economics part contains: Economic concepts and relationship, Marketing, and Funding. The Law part contains: Product liability, laws related to buying and selling, marketing rules and regulations and Labour legislation.

The examination consists of passed written assignments that are handed in via PingPong. The course is marked as Failed/Passed (U/G).
