Specific entry requirements
For admission to semester 3, at least the Pass grade is required in all courses from semester 1 and in at least 22.5 HE credits from semester 2
Objectives
At the end of the course, you are expected to: be able to apply and analyse different methods in the production of removable constructions included in the course, be able to account for partial prosthetic substitutes with a focus on function and aesthetics. independently assess and evaluate the quality of various types of prosthetic constructions. understand the methodology of the teeth set-up in different crista relations in order to recreate an aesthetic and bite-functional removable construction for the patient. be able to account for the clinical treatment procedure in the treatment of resin-retained bridges, and full and partial removable dentures.
Content
The course is divided into two parts Removable Prosthodontics - theory, 3 HE credits (Removable Prosthodontics 3) Removable Prosthodontics - laboratory work, 4.5 HE credits (Removable Prosthodontics 3) Subpart 1 - Prosthetic substitute in different crista relations - Immediate denture and its production techniques - Planning of partial removable dentures and construction solutions - Aesthetics, phonetics and functional design - Orientation in different production methods - Resin-retained bridges - Demonstrations of practical parts of the course - Auscultation in a clinic ward Subpart 2 The practical application, includes the production of; - Working methods for all the works in the course - full denture - partial prosthesis with anchoring elements and lingual bar

Teaching methods
The knowledge is provided in lectures, seminars, demonstrations, supervision and individual written assignments, papers with an oral presentation and individual application exercises with self-assessment.
Examination
Subpart 1 Through individual written assignments with an oral presentation and written final examination. Subpart 2 Assessment of the students' individually produced application exercises and a practical test. Limited number of examinations or practical training sessions If the student's examination is not approved, she gets two more opportunities. After that, the student is recommended to re-take the course and is offered three more examinations. If the student has not passed after 6 trials, he/she has no more admission to the course. (HF chapter 6, section 11 a).
Transitional provisions
If the course is closed down or undergoes major changes, examination under a previous literature list and learning outcomes will be offered no more than one academic year after the implementation of the revision/close-down.
Other directives
Course evaluation. Course evaluation is carried out in accordance with the guidelines established by the Board of Education. Course evaluation takes place in writing via a web survey.
