Specific entry requirements

For admission to semester 3, it is required that student does not lack more than 15 credits from preceding semesters within the Study Programme in Speech and Language Pathology

Objectives

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
-
- transcribe, analyse and reflect on theoretical and methodological aspects related to various types of speech materials.

Content

The course intends to provide advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in analysing speech, in particular aspects specific to speech and language pathology. Further, the course includes training in identifying systematic deviations in speech and in describing these patterns by means of phonological rules and in terms of grammatical properties.

Teaching methods

Lectures and group exercises.

 

Examination

The examination consists of individually written assignments.

Students who do not pass a regular examination are entitled to re-sit the examination on five more occasions. If the student has failed six examinations/tests, no additional examination is given.

Transitional provisions

The course has been cancelled and was offered for the last time in the autumn semester of 2016. Examination will be provided until the autumn of 2018 for students who have not completed the course

Other directives

The entire course is given by the Department of Linguistics at Stockholm University.

The course evaluation will be carried out in accordance with the guidelines established by the Board of Education. The course evaluation of each module will mainly be web-based.
