Global Health in an Interprofessional setting: A Caring Science Perspective

Global migration will affect health care services both nationally and internationally. This course will give you insight into global health from the perspective of caring sciences in interprofessional setting. You will get an in-depth understanding of living conditions, life-style, diet, health behaviours, etc. of populations from a global health perspective and how it can be incorporated when providing health care in Sweden.

Information on distance learning

Scheduled online sessions including presentation at the examination seminar. Attendance at all seminars are mandatory and will be scheduled during day time according to Swedish time (CET /UTC+1).
The learning activities will take place digitally and consist of lectures, online discussions, interview and self-study. The examination will consist of a written report based on interviews of health care professionals in humanitarian organisations and an oral presentation at an online seminar.  Access to computer with camera, microphone and internet is required.

Specific entry requirements

A minimum of 120 credits and a Bachelor's degree or a professional degree in health care. And proficiency in English equivalent to English B/English 6.

Selection

The selection is based on academic credits (30-285). All documents must have reached University Admissions by the deadline for the supporting documents 20 June 2024. The first selection results will be published at your account at UniversityAdmissions.se/Antagning.se on the 11th of July 2024. You must reply to your admissions offer.
