Inika Prasad - Bachelor's in Biomedicine

The proximity to the buzzing hub of Stockholm was one of the reasons I chose to study Biomedicine at Karolinska Institutet. My aim was to get to know new, interesting people and learn new things. Getting to know Stockholm better, listening to the Nobel lectures, and learning enough Swedish to read Factfulness by Hans Rosling were another few of the many things on my list.
Two years into my programme, I’m proud to say that I’ve had a pretty good success rate with my goals. Looking forward, I want to work with genomics and transcriptomics and see where that road takes me. I’m sure the next decade will bring lots of progress in the -omics field, and I hope to contribute in some way.
I enjoy eating and cooking good food, writing, playing badminton, spending time with friends, exploring new things, rainy weather (yes, you read it right!), and taking naps in the Swedish spring sunlight.
