Introduction for global programme and exchange students

Welcome to KI! Here you will find information about introduction activities for new students attending the Global Master's and Bachelor's Programmes or if you are here as an exchange student.

Digital Introduction Day Autumn 2020

In order to limit the spread of COVID-19, there will not be a physical welcome ceremony this year. Instead, we will host a live introduction ceremony and you will get a glimpse of what the University and the student life have to offer.

All international and Swedish students enrolled in one of our Global Master's and Bachelor's Programmes as well as exchange students are invited to our online Introduction Day, live on 27 August 2020, containing important arrival and preparatory information for your coming life in Stockholm and studies at Karolinska Institutet.

Programme/course introduction

A mandatory programme introduction for students admitted to all programmes at Karolinska Institutet will be held on 31 August 2020, unless otherwise notified by your programme. If you cannot attend the mandatory programme introduction, please contact your programme.

You will receive information about the time and location of the introduction in the welcome letter from your programme director, which will be sent out during the spring semester. At the programme introduction you will be given a general overview of the programme and a schedule for the first semester.

Freestanding course students should contact their teachers for information on roll call. Contact information is available on the programme and course websites.

Individual introduction sessions

For exchange students arriving during other parts of the semester (not in September or January), a shorter individual introduction session is arranged with your international coordinator at Karolinska Institutet.
