Hello and Namaste, everyone! My name is Naomi, and I was born and brought up in India. I am joining the digital ambassador team as a blogger, and I am a first-year student in the Global Master’s Programme in Biomedicine here at KI!

Throughout my undergraduate programme, I used to find myself gravitating towards courses and internships that were research-oriented and laboratory-intensive. I understood concepts better when I learnt about them practically and I just knew that a career that was built around research was where I would flourish. My search for a world-class university that was at the forefront of biological research naturally led me to Karolinska Institutet (seriously, it was the first result that popped up on Google). I selected the graduate programmes I found to be most suitable for me, applied, and the rest is history.

As a raging introvert, when I have free time, I like to curl up in bed and watch a comfort show. I also quite enjoy spending time with my friends and exploring Stockholm with them! Here’s a fun fact about me before I make Sweden and KI my whole personality: I have dabbled in many things such as instruments, dance, art, sports, drama, public speaking, and more. Now, am I exceptionally good at any of those? Nope.
