Course Content
This MOOC focuses on Pragmatic Randomized Controlled Trials – a testing procedure for new treatments in health care. The course gives historic examples of trials that failed or caused even bigger problems than before, but it also addresses how best to design pragmatic randomized trials that answer the most important questions.
Prerequisites
This course is recommended for participants who already have some experience in the health sector and previous knowledge of statistics, biostatistics or related subjects.
Course leader
Pragmatic Randomized Controlled Trials in Health Care is led by Merrick Zwarenstein, an experienced researcher in the field who holds several honorary Professorships – one of them at Karolinska Institutet.
