The course is designed to mimic real-life circumstances
At KI, Rahel found what she was looking for: a varied Master’s programme covering her subjects of interest. The fact that the courses were taught by current experts in the field, also helped. Moving to Stockholm she is looking forward to exploring another culture and region.
She is positively surprised by the emphasis on group work at KI, and how the courses are designed to mimic real-life circumstances, including negotiating with peers from different cultures. Highlights so far include attending conferences where stakeholders in Global Health projects explain how they are translating research into policy and change in communities.
In the future she sees herself dividing her time between clinical work and either academic or policy work. Hopefully in an international environment.
... the freedom to discuss and exercise your ideas in a safe environment
