Content

Teaching methods

The course comprises teacher-supervised lectures and discussion seminars, and a study visit. The course assumes independent studies of the indicated reading list according to reading instructions in the timetable and active participation in the teaching.

Examination

The course is examined continuously with 1) Three written tests provided during the course 2) Compulsory seminars (six). 3) Final examination In the tests (1) and the compulsory discussion seminars (2) only one of the grades Pass/Fail is used. In the final examination (Examination assignment no 3) and in the entire course, one of the grades Pass with distinction, Pass, or Fail are given. Any absence in one or several compulsory discussion seminars (2) may be replaced by an equivalent number of approved written complementary assignments. To pass the whole course, in addition, attendance in a compulsory study visit including two lectures in connection with this, is required (a preparatory called Confidentiality and professional secrecy, and a follow-up). Contact the responsible teacher for make-up opportunities, if you are unable to attend compulsory sessions. Attendance in Confidentiality and professional secrecy is required for participation in the study visit. Follow-up can possibly be substituted by a written reflective assignment. Course grade A Pass in the entire course requires a Pass grade (Pass) in all examination assignments (1, 2 and 3) and attendance at study visits and compulsory lectures in relation to this. For a Pass with distinction in the entire course, the grade Pass with distinction in the final examination is required, in addition to this (3). All missed or failed written tests should be redone in an overall make-up examination session on a separate occasion. The student, however, is entitled to write a final examination before all part examinations are approved. The student is entitled to at most six examination sessions (make-up examinations) per course in order to achieve approved results (concern make-up examinations for tests and final examination, respectively).

Transitional provisions

The interim regulations follow KI's local guidelines. For a course that has been closed down or undergone major changes or where the reading list has been changed considerably, two more tests (excluding regular tests) of the previous contents and literature should be given during a period of one year from the date of the change .

Other directives

Course evaluation, based on the expected learning outcomes of the syllabus, takes place according to KI's local guidelines. Results and possible actions are communicated to the students in the course web page.
