Objectives
On completion of the course, the student should: Independently and in an experienced way be able to acquire documentation of dental materials. Have knowledge of the most important occupational hygienic aspects of dental care activity. Be able to account for potential risks of toxic and allergic reactions that may be associated with the use of different dental materials for both patients and dental care personnel. Have knowledge how patients with suspected adverse drug reactions to dental materials should be examined and how side effects and incidents are reported.

Teaching methods
Lectures and teacher-supervised seminars.
Examination
Presentation of an in-depth assignment. If the student fails, she gets 2 more opportunities. After that, the student is recommended to retake the course and is given 3 more examination opportunities. If the student has not passed after 6 attempts, he/she has no more admission to the course (HF chapter 6, section 11 a).
Transitional provisions
If the course is closed down or undergoes major changes, examination under a previous literature list and learning outcomes will be offered no more than one academic year after the implementation of the revision/close-down.
