The Interprofessional Learning Day: IPL day
The Interprofessional Learning Day (IPL day) is a joint interprofessional day for students at KI. It is an important part of the KI's action plan for IPL and it is considered to be part of the students' professional development. However, the IPL day is not necessarily part of the specific course you are taking at the date of the IPL day.
IPL day
The aim is to early on in your education programme, put a focus on different views of health and illustrate the purpose of interprofessional cooperation as one way to support the health of the population. The idea is that this happens when students from different programmes interact and learn with, from and about each other.
IPL day is compulsory for all first year students and is held in English.
The next IPL day will be held on 22nd October 2024 at the Flemingsberg campus.
IPL day for Complementary education
In order to facilitate an early start to Interprofessional Learning, IPL, KI offers students in the Complementary education programme a joint Interprofessional day where the theme of the day is patient safety.
This IPL day for Complementary education is held in Swedish.
The next IPL day for Complementary education will be held on the 15th February 2024 at Flemingsberg campus.
Why IPL?
Within health and medical care, you work in teams with different professions to achieve safe and qualitative care. It is therefore important to have knowledge and skills in communication and cooperation, as well as knowledge of the competence and responsibilities of different professions.
