Matheus Bresser
Meet Matheus Bresser, one of KI’s Global Master’s Scholarship recipients for 2026.
What inspired you to study Health Economics, Policy and Management?

"During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked with hospital capacity monitoring and health policy in Brazil. That experience showed me that the biggest challenges in health systems are not only clinical – they are also about governance, how systems are designed and how they serve populations equitably."
What change do you hope to contribute to?
"I want to help build health systems where digital transformation improves access rather than deepening inequalities. My goal is to bridge health economics, governance and digital implementation to contribute to more equitable and sustainable healthcare."
What motivates you in your work?
"When I see someone unable to access a digital health service because it wasn't designed with them in mind, I see a governance failure. What keeps me going is the belief that well-designed systems can make healthcare work for everyone, not only for those who are already connected."
