"Growing up, I saw how healthcare workforce shortages affected my community, and later, during my medical training, I witnessed the burnout faced by many healthcare professionals. Those experiences sparked my commitment to improving health systems. KI stood out because the programme combines health economics, policy and management, giving me the tools to turn grassroots experiences into evidence-based solutions."

What do you hope to achieve after your studies?

"My goal is to strengthen support for healthcare workers in Vietnam. I want to use the knowledge and analytical skills gained at KI to develop and evaluate new policies, generate evidence for change, and contribute to a healthcare system that better protects and empowers its workforce."

How has your background shaped your ambitions?

"Accompanying my father through cancer treatment as a child showed me how unequal access to healthcare can affect families. Later, seeing colleagues struggle in an overstretched system deepened my commitment to health equity. Those experiences continue to drive my ambition to create lasting change through better health policies and governance."
