For students attending the Clinical medicine 6: Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 9 ECTS credits Information about the international course

On this page, you will find general information about the course, regardless of which hospital you are studying at.

This page is intended for incoming students who will be studying the international course taught in English. Incoming exchange students who are proficient in Swedish and therefore studying the regular course given in Swedish, are referred to the Swedish version of this page.

Course start

The course begins with two introductory days aimed at preparing students, both theoretically and practically, for the clinical continuation of the course. The first day is a lecture day, and the second day is a mandatory introduction day with information about workplace-based learning and schedules, as well as practical training in examination techniques. On the third day of the course, the clinical training starts.

Course registration in Ladok

As a student, you have access to a dedicated student interface in Ladok, where you can get an overview of your studies and manage certain tasks independently. For example, you can register for your courses, print study and registration certificates, and apply for degree certificates.

Prior to each new course, you will register in Ladok for the course you are taking. Please observe that the registration in Ladok is mandatory to retain your study place. The registration period opens one week prior to the start of the term and closes two days after the term has begun.

How to register for the written exam

The following applies to the written exam:

    • Please note that registration for the exam should not be seen as a confirmation of being allowed to write the exam. You need to be approved for all compulsory parts before the exam or apply in writing for an exemption from the course director.
  • If you wish to register for the re-exam, please contact your course administrator.
  • If you have a valid certificate for adaptation in study situation and/or pedagogical support, it should be emailed to the course administrator at the start of the course or at the very latest ten days before the exam.

How to register for the practical exam (OSCE)

  • Regular OSCE: No registration is required. All students currently enrolled in the course are guaranteed a place at the examination, provided that the eligibility requirements are met.
  • Re-OSCE: To participate in the practical re-examination, you must register in Ladok.
    • In Ladok, you can see how much time remains until registration opens and when it closes. This information is available under the “Examination sessions” menu.
    • To register for the re-OSCE, you must be enrolled or re-enrolled in the current course instance. Contact the course administrator if you are not registered for the course.
