How to Apply
The application process for exchange studies consists of two steps:
- Apply for an exchange at Karolinska Institutet (KI) via Mobility Online. If your application is successful, KI will nominate you for exchange studies.
- Apply to the partner institution. After your nomination, you’ll need to apply directly to the partner university.
How to apply:
Click the link below to access the Mobility Online database. Start by creating an account. Once registered, you’ll receive an email with a link to log in. From there, you can upload the required documents and complete your application.

Applications will be ranked after the deadline, and exchange placements will be allocated based on this ranking.
Be sure to read all the information below carefully. Incomplete applications may be ranked lower or not considered at all.
What to Include in your Application
1. Application Form
Download and upload a completed copy of your online application from Mobility Online.
2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Your CV should be clear, well-structured, and easy to read. You can use Europass CV as a helpful template.
3. Transcript of Records
Submit an English version of your transcript from Ladok. You can download it directly from Ladok on the Web.
4. Motivation Letter
Your personal statement of motivation should be written in English and be a maximum of one A4 page in length. Present yourself briefly in the introduction and state why you wish to take part in an exchange. Experience and special interests referred to in the letter should be relevant to your application.
