For students attending the Master's Programme in Nutrition Science (120 credits) Selection and nomination

The programme has established criteria for participating in exchange studies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Study Results: you must be eligible to continue your studies at KI at the time of your departure.
  • Representation: As a KI exchange student, you are expected to be a good ambassador for the university.
  • Motivation Letter: Your letter should clearly show your motivation to study abroad and, if relevant, your interest in a specific topic, university, or country.

Selection Criteria

  • Academic Performance: Higher academic results will be given priority.
  • Engagement at KI: Active involvement in KI associations (e.g., MF, Global Friends), or roles such as ambassador or mentor, will be considered.
  • Motivation: A strong interest in a specific topic or university may be considered when applicants have similar qualifications.
  • Final Decision: If applicants are equally qualified, the international committee may conduct interviews or use a lottery to determine selection.

How is the selection done?

After the application deadline, the department will review all submissions based on established criteria, and rank applicants accordingly.

Exchange spots are allocated in order of priority. You will be nominated to the highest-ranked university on your list that still has available places.

Nomination

Once selected, you’ll be notified of your nomination and receive further instructions from the International Coordinator.

Please note: You are responsible for applying to the partner university after being nominated by KI. Be sure to contact your Programme Director to plan your exchange studies.

Important

You are not officially accepted by the partner university until you receive an official letter of acceptance or admission notice from them.
