Welcome to the first course in the Bachelor's programme in Biomedicine. This first course will give you a general introduction to the biomedical field including general knowledge about the anatomy of the human body as well as basic biochemistry and cell biology. Registration is mandatory in order to keep your place and participate in the course. You register yourself in Ladok. The registration period is from 2026-07-31 - 2026-08-14. More information about web registration.
Things to do before the course start
... review your high-school (bio)chemistry and math...
If you feel a little rusty on chemistry (and maybe math too) it is a good idea to brush up on your knowledge before the course starts. Even though IBS starts basic, we move fast. You can test as well as refresh your knowledge using the following resource:

Note: this is mainly intended to prepare for the subsequent GOC course but strengthening some basic chemistry knowledge will be beneficial in IBS too.
