For students attending the course Standardisation within health informatics (5 credits) course code 5HI020
The general aims of the course are to provide knowledge and skills to choose, analyse and apply different health informatics standards to store, retrieve and exchange data between different health information systems. An overview of health informatics standards, and interoperability specifications - such as HL7 family of standards, and OpenEHR - and the usage of controlled terminology for care documentation - such as SNOMED CT - are presented and demonstrated.
