Who is required to pay tuition fees?
If you are a citizen of a country outside of the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, you are required to pay application and tuition fees. The application fee is 900 SEK when you apply at universityadmission.se, Sweden's central application portal. There are some exemptions to the general rule of having to pay application and tuition fees.

If you are a citizen of the EU, EEA or Switzerland the education is free of charge, but you need to document your EU/EEA citizenship to be exempt from fees.

Tuition fee refund policy
Reimbursement of the tuition fee is only possible in cases where the student is prevented from participating in the programme or courses due to extraordinary circumstances. Extraordinary circumstances may include:
- The student is refused a visa/residence permit
- Serious illness or serious illness or death in the family
