Research-oriented projects in Biomedicine at the Bachelor's level
(offered autumn semester 2026 and spring semester 2027)

Research-oriented projects at the Bachelor’s level are offered during both the autumn and spring semesters, with options of 15, 18, 22.5, 30, or 60 ECTS credits.

Students are responsible for making their own initial arrangements and securing a supervisor before applying to Karolinska Institutet. The most effective approach is to identify a research group working in your area of interest and contact them directly, informing them that you plan to apply for an exchange at KI. Response times may vary, so allow sufficient time. Once a supervisor has agreed to host you, include the project’s subject area and the supervisor’s name and contact details in your application. If you need assistance at any stage, you are welcome to contact the international coordinator.

Depending on the project setting, Hepatitis B vaccination may be required.
