As a newly admitted student to one of our global bachelor's or master's programmes you can participate in a number of webinars and lives to help you prepare for your arrival to Stockholm, Sweden. More webinars or lives may be added along the way, so please check back for the latest information.

Webinars with KI

Migration information webinar – 8 April

This is migration-specific webinar, where we will give you general instructions and advise on the migration process for studies in Sweden. There will be time for a Q&A. 

  • Date: 8 April 2026, 16:00-17:00 CEST

Registrations will be sent to admitted students beginning of April.

General pre-departure webinars – 14, 16 or 20 April

Everything you need to know before you arrive to Stockholm and Karolinska Institutet. We will cover topics such as housing, residence permit, living costs and much more. A current international student will also be invited to talk about student life. There will be plenty of time for questions.

Master's programme students

  • Non-EU/EEA citizens: 14 April 2026, 16:00-17:00 CEST
  • EU/EEA citizens:  16 April 2026, 16:00-17:00 CEST

If you have dual citizenship (EU/EEA being one of them), we recommend you to join the webinar for EU/EEA-students.

Bachelor's programme students

  • All citizenships: 20 April 2026, 16:00-17:00 CEST.

Webinars with the Swedish Tax Agency

New in Sweden – the population register and basic tax information

During this webinar, the Swedish Tax Agency will provide you with information you need when you are going to move to Sweden, live in Sweden and if you choose to move from Sweden. They will also give you a basic introduction to Swedish tax. Seats fill up quickly, so don't wait too long to register.

As a newly admitted student to KI, you are welcome to listen in on Study in Sweden's livestream, where they chat to current international students, attending different universities in Sweden, about what to do before moving here.
