The biochemistry course is about the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids at the level of the individual cell as well as the entire human body. The content is oriented towards the multiple chemical processes sustaining life and their precise regulation including processes of particular biomedical importance.

The course starts on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 12:30 in the lecture hall Rockefeller.

Registration
Registration is mandatory in order to keep your place and participate in the course. You register yourself in Ladok. The registration period is from 2025-01-13 - 2025-01-22. More information about web registration.
Things to do before the course start
Important biomolecules and protein regulatory concepts will be reviewed at the beginning of the course but it may be good to review esp carbohydrates and enzyme kinetics. And don't forget about your organic chemistry, esp. substitution and carbonyl reactions.
