Changes to login for KI systems
On 17 April, KI’s central login function will be updated. This means that you will no longer sign in using your username/KI ID. Instead, you will use your student email address.
Which systems are affected?
This change affects several of the systems you use as a student, for example:
- Canvas
- Ladok
- Inspera
- Zoom
Previously, you signed in to these services using your username/KI ID. From 17 April onwards, you will instead sign in using your student email address (firstname.lastname@stud.ki.se).
How to log in – step by step
The login process is almost the same as before – the main difference is that you now use your student email address:
- Enter your student email address(firstname.lastname@stud.ki.se).
- Enter your password.
- If the service requires two step verification, approve the login via your phone.
Why is this change being made?
The update is being implemented to:
- increase security within KI’s IT environment
- create a more consistent login method across KI systems
- reduce the risk of login issues, for example when changing passwords or user details
Using your student email address as your login makes the process both more secure and more consistent across different services.
