Working while studying
Finding a part-time job without speaking Swedish can be difficult, but is not impossible. We don't recommend you rely on a part-time job to cover your living costs.
Many students are interested in working while studying in Stockholm, as it is an expensive city to live in. As an international student you are allowed to work next to your studies, but keep in mind that KI recognizes that full-time studies means that students are occupied with school work in a full-time capacity. We recommend you don't rely on a part-time job to cover your living costs.
Finding a part-time job without speaking Swedish can be difficult, but is not impossible. There are opportunities to nanny, tutor children a language, or teach a skill you possess (i.e. instrument, schools subject, etc.) but these depend on you as an individual, your skills, and the community you find yourself in. Some students find part time jobs at a café or restaurants but strong Swedish skills are often required.
