Healthcare centre (Vårdcentral)

A healthcare centre is a primary care facility that provides planned (non urgent) medical treatment. You need to make an appointment before you visit a healthcare centre.

Before you visit a healthcare centre

If you a have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) 

You should register in advance at the healthcare centre.

EU/EEA, UK, or Swiss citizen 

You should bring your European Health Insurance card (EHIC) (or GHIC for the UK) with you.

Non-EU/EEA students 

You will have to pay for your visit and get reimbursed by your insurance company. Please note that the student insurance from Kammarkollegiet does not cover planned care at a healthcare clinic.
