This course aims to increase your knowledge about dementia and working with people with dementia, from a biological as well as a societal perspective.

Syllabus

About the course

The course is unique as it brings together several professions who work in the field of dementia. Dentists, dental hygienists, speech-language pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and audiologists all take this course together. This will give you a new multi-professional perspective on dementia, oral health and the communicative function. You will also get the opportunity to create networks with people of different professions.

The course has been developed in cooperation with Stiftelsen Silviahemmet. After the course you will receive a diploma from Karolinska Institutet and Stiftelsen Silviahemmet as well as a special pin that will be awarded to you by HM Queen Silvia at a ceremony. 

Master's Courses in Dementia Care for Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists, 60 credits

This is also the first of four courses comprising the Master's Courses in Dementia Care for Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists. None of the courses can be taken separately. The courses are offered as contract eduction, meaning that you can not buy a place on the course for yourself, contract education can only be bought by an employer for their employees.
