Hi everyone! My name is Gabriela and I come from Poland. I’m currently doing the Bachelor’s Programme in Biomedicine. I am beyond thrilled to study at Karolinska Institutet, as it has been my dream for years. I could not imagine a better place to gain knowledge, build a network with amazing people and attain experience in the biomedical field than KI. Even after a brief time here, I can feel that the upcoming years will be the most exciting years of my life yet. Moreover, I still cannot believe I’m living in Stockholm. Every time I go to the city centre I feel like I’m on vacation.

I am vastly interested in neuroscience. That is also the field I see myself working in in the future as a researcher. I would love to unravel the mysteries of the human brain and its fascinating functions. I am especially intrigued by the way memory and emotions work on a molecular level.

In my free time, I enjoy training (especially aerial silks) and playing the guitar. Moreover, I love reading classical literature or reportages and talking about a good book over coffee and a kanelbulle.
