Hello! My name is Jonah Beach and I’m studying in the Global Health Master’s Program. I come from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

I applied to KI as I was particularly interested in the professional opportunities KI affords its students, as well as the Swedish education system. Additionally, having the opportunity to study health systems as they compare between socialist healthcare systems, and the capitalist system I come from was a field of study within the realm of global health that made KI even more interesting to me.

Over the next two years, I’m looking forward to growing both personally and professionally, as well as learning more Swedish. Stockholm in its itself is a super international and diverse city with so many amazing cafes, museums, and well-maintained outdoor spaces, all of which I’m excited to explore.

In the future my hope is to go into consulting and strategic problem solving for healthcare companies that focus on underserved populations within health equity. My background is in biomedical sciences, and while I intended on applying to medical school, obtaining a masters from KI seemed like a more dynamic approach to the healthcare industry, and one that I felt would ultimately be more fulfilling.

In my free time I enjoy working out and being active, going out to dinner with friends, modelling, and my very strict skincare routine. A fun fact about me is that I hold two passports, both American and Canadian.
