My name is Zoya and I'm from America. I did my bachelor’s in neuroscience, and I'm now in the Master's Programme in Health Economics, Policy, and Management (HEPM) at Karolinska Institutet! I studied abroad in Stockholm in 2024 and fell in love with Sweden, and my dream became to attend KI.

I applied to this programme because I wanted to learn how economic factors and research shape the healthcare system, and how to develop solutions for them. It appealed to me that I'd be learning technical skills while also understanding policies that shape the medical field. I loved that the programme had a variety of courses that would give me the background I needed to pursue my goals of working in the business side of the health industry.

I'm in my first year of studies and I'm looking forward to growing my skillset, while also experiencing the amazing and inspiring world of being a KI student. In my opinion, Stockholm is an incredible place to live, and I love to explore every part of the city. I'm excited to be part of the Instagram team and to share my journey along the way!
