Hej everyone!! I’m Paula, nice to meet you all! I’m an international student in the Master’s Programme in Biomedicine here at Karolinska Institutet. I’m originally from Barcelona, Spain, where I also studied a bachelor’s in biotechnology.

When studying the bachelor’s I was looking forward to studying abroad, and when I went on a family vacation to Sweden, I got the feeling I wanted to stay in Stockholm. This special city is a mixture of modern and nature, with so many monuments and beautiful places to go and plans to make. Moreover, the efficiency of the public transport is a plus getting to uni! And what better place to study than KI, one of the best universities worldwide and awarding the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine!

In my free time, I like to do sports, more concretely, judo. I really enjoy meeting friends and making different plans with them, or as I like to call it, creating lifetime memories with all of them. I’m very talkative and once I feel confident, I won’t stop talking (don’t tell me I didn’t warn you)!

I’m always up for a coffee and I’m a cat lover, which you can blame my cat Mel for. A random fact about me is that I started playing the violin when I was 5 years old and continued until I graduated with intermediate music studies.
