About the course
The course Public Health Response in Health Crisis and Disasters provides you with the tools to understand, assess, analyse, plan, and implement health interventions in crises and disasters.
As a student, you will gain an understanding of the role of health systems in crises and disasters, how they are linked to disaster preparedness systems and the role different actors have in the management of crises and disasters. You will also learn the principles of mass casualty management and epidemiological surveillance.
The course is taught in conjunction with the Erasmus Mundus master programme Public Health in Disasters. The Master's programme has a global intake of students. This means that when you study the Public Health Response in Health Crisis and Disasters course, you will have the pleasure and benefit of learning with, and socialising with, fellow students from all over the world. Moreover, the course is taught by teachers with extensive expertise in the subject and experience of working in health crises and disasters.
